JJ Yeley Fantasy Pool Winner Experiences Kansas Race, Up Close

JJ YeleyJJ Yeley appreciates his fans, they are what drives the sport, JJ has always appreciated their enthusiasm and continued support. JJ has a Fantasy Racing Pool each year, hosted by TracksidePools.com where the fans can play for free.  He plays Speed Dice with the fans on Facebook and Twitter, sending a lucky fan a prize of his choosing each week.  He is on Facebook every day, sending "A Big Shout Out" to friends on his page who are celebrating their birthday. All, a  small way of saying "Thanks to the Fans".

The winner of the 2011 JJ Yeley Fantasy Racing Pool last November was Scott Taylor. He was offered a pair of Hot Passes to any race this year, he chose Kansas. Here is Scott's account of his Kansas weekend....

Blown Tire Relegates J.J. Yeley And The No. 36 Drive Sober. Arrive Alive DE Chevrolet To A 34th-Place Finish At Dover

The Tommy Baldwin Racing (TBR) team started the AAA 400 from the 40th position with J.J. Yeley behind the wheel. On lap 69, the tire blew on the No. 36 Drive Sober. Arrive Alive DE Chevrolet which resulted in damage to the right, front fender. The team worked to get the car to handle with the damage and finished in 34th place.

Yeley took the green flag of the AAA 400 from the 40th position and quickly drove the No. 36 Drive Sober. Arrive Alive DE Chevrolet to the 33rd position by lap six. The Phoenix, Ariz., native radioed that the car was tight into and off the corner. By lap 14, he told the crew that the tight condition was getting worse. On lap 33, the No. 36 Chevrolet fell a lap down to the leader.

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (SEPTEMBER 19, 2012) – The Delaware Office of Highway Safety (OHS) will team up with Tommy Baldwin Racing (TBR) at Dover International Speedway Sunday, September 30 to remind NASCAR fans to ‘Drive Sober’ with a special paint scheme and a full weekend of activities. J.J. Yeley will pilot the No. 36 Drive Sober. Arrive Alive DE Chevrolet in the AAA 400. ...

Yeley to Drive for New Cup Team

Newly established Sprint Cup team Robinson-Blakeney Racing has tabbed J.J. Yeley to drive its No. 49 Toyota for the 2012 season. In addition, Yeley will be reunited with crew chief Tony Furr, who has been hired to coordinate and direct the upstart endeavor.

"I am energized and looking forward to working with [owner and manager] Jay Robinson and our team beginning at Daytona in the Duel 150 race and building success all the way to Homestead," said Yeley, who has 11 top-10 finishes in his Cup career. "I have enjoyed a good working relationship in the past with Tony Furr as my crew chief and am happy to be partnered with him again on this team."

Furr brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the team and has the tools available to formulate a competitive effort at Robinson-Blakeney Racing.

"I am excited to again be working with a talented driver like J.J., as well as the rest of the team and owners at Robinson-Blakeney Racing," Furr said.

In addition to its first year in Cup, Robinson-Blakeney Racing returns for its 12th season of competition in the Nationwide Series in the No. 28 car.

"We are preparing the team for a very successful 2012 season and we are very pleased to announce our partnerships with Tony and J.J.", Robinson said.

Yeley Enters 26th Annual Chili Bowl Nationals

NASCAR Sprint Cup driver, J.J. Yeley, is set to pilot the McKinney-Yeley Motorsports (MYM) entry at the 26th Annual Chili Bowl Nationals set to kick off January 10th at QuikTrip Center at Tulsa Expo Square in Tulsa, Okla. Yeley’s Toyota TRD-powered F5 chassis donning #1 is title-sponsored by Ohsweken Speedway, Rockwell Security and Dean Guitars, who is set to raffle off a guitar benefitting The Parent Child Center of Tulsa. 


The signed guitar will bear autographs from musician and reality TV star, Bret Michaels, and 2012 Vacuworx International Race of Champions competitors from Tuesday night’s event, including 3-time NASCAR Sprint Cup champion and 2-time Chili Bowl Nationals champion, Tony Stewart, and 2011 NASCAR Nationwide champion, Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. Yeley will also be raffling off a set of 2 NASCAR Hot Passes for a race of the winner’s choosing. Tickets are $10 and the drawing with take place on Saturday. Raffle tickets and special edition 2012 Chili Bowl Nationals t-shirts will be available at Yeley’s pit throughout the event.  

Yeley is set to compete in the Vacuworx International Qualifying Night on Thursday, January 12th and hopes to be locked into the Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals Championship A-Main event slated for Saturday, January 14th.  This marks Yeley’s 16th year of chasing the coveted Golden Driller trophy and hopes to make it his 7th time starting Saturday night’s A-Main Championship event.
