We were deeply saddened today by the sudden loss of David Poole. David was a friend, motorsports writer and one of the countries leading authorities of Nascar.

David was co-host on the Sirius Radio show "The Morning Drive" with Ed Bagley on weekday mornings from 7 - 11 am, which JJ participated in almost every Monday. He was a motorsports writer for the Charlotte Observer for more than a decade.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to David's family and friends. He will be missed."

Our sincerest condolences to his wife, Katy, sons Matthew and David, daughter Emily and grandson Eli.

On Wednesday, Poole’s memory will be honored with a very special tribute show from 7 am to 11 am ET on SIRIUS Satellite Radio.
