JJ finished 17th after starting 23rd. in the Showdown in Charlotte, only the top two cars transfered into the All Star Race that followed.

It was a leap forward for the #46 Whitney Motorsports Dodge team, who's performance on track and in qualifying is improving each week. JJ was in the 15th position after qualifying on Friday, but when the rain started with only 4 cars left to qualify, Nascar had no choice but to cancel qualifying and have the teams start by their draw to qualify, which put JJ in the 23rd. spot.

The #46 Whitney Motorsports Team carried the "Shake For Jake" logo on the hood, the Jake Owen Raborn Foundation means a great deal to JJ and it will also be on the hood for the Coca Cola 600 next weekend. The "Shake for Jake" is an annual event to help raise funds for the foundation, which supports families enduring pediatric cancer. This years Shake For Jake will be held on June 26, 2010. Next week, the Coca Cola 600 at the Charlotte Motor Speedway, the longest race of the year will be televised on Fox beginning at 5:45 pm.
